In the nearest future agricultural sector will become the initiator of building boom in Ukraine. Ukrainian construction companies must be ready for a big demand for building of new infrastructure facilities among agricultural enterprises. This viewpoint was expressed by Mykola Tolmachov, General Director of TMM company.
He thinks that the whole agricultural infrastructure will actually have to be doubled in the next ten years, since Ukraine will implement modern manufacturing technologies and strive for European yield indexes, as it is more than 2 times behind them.
“Every year Ukraine produces over 60 million tons of grain that is one and a half times more than the achievements in USSR period. We are exporting more grain now than collected in those years. Storage and transportation facilities are lagging far behind and cannot ensure proper export flow. Investments are inevitable and will be very serious, taking into account the fact that rural companies need to intensify production and double yield in order to improve their competitiveness in the global market” – Mr. Tolmachov noted.
